ok so, i dont normally get involved in politics or religion. i feel like with those two topics someone is ALWAYS bound to get hurt not because of what is being said but how it is said. when it comes to religion people are so closed minded that they dont want to hear anything anyone has to say, unless its what THEY think it should be. damn shame if you ask me.
anywho, i was at work on the internet [[against company policy lmao]] and i came across this article.

my first thought was WTF?? generally secular and spiritual dont mix. there's no way that they can UNLESS there's a certain open mindedness involved. think about how many trillions of versions of the original bible there are. who's to say that these new secular versions of the bible wont reach the audiences that they are intended for. i do not think, that the 2 new bibles are intended for grandma and grandpa that believe women should still be wearing dresses and not wearing earrings or fingernail polish. nor do i believe that the new bibles are intended for mom and dad who wouldnt understand the challenges that the generation today faces. i do believe, that the new bibles are intended to reach the young ppl who dont know who tf king james is and wouldnt understand wtf he's saying in the king james version of the bible. i personally will not be purchasing either of the new bibles because they are not my speed however, i wont knock them until i at least read em.
what do you think? do you think that there should be secular versions of the bible?
